Anyone done the Stomaphyx with Dr Birch?

I have my referal in to Dr Birch for this procedure.  Has anyone had it done?  How long did you wait and what are your results like?

I had an appointment today with one of the specialists here in SK and now he is thinking that the DS might be a better revision for me.  This would require going out of country and getting approval.  A long time I am certain.  Because of this,   I am still curious about the Stomaphyx time line and the success others have achieved.  

Why are you getting this done?  Have you been gaining weight?

yes I have currently gained 75 pounds and my stoma is quite large and no longer holds anything in the pouch

Ohh.....do you know how your stoma got so large? Is it overeating...?  Sorry...I am not quite a year out yet...just wonder how it can happen?

Are you eating differently then you were at the beginning?
