UPDATE: i had my rny on march 3, 2010....things didn't quite go as planned.
Well everyone,
I want to give you all an update on how I am doing since my last post.
firstly i want to thank everyone for their thoughts and well wishes!
I have been home (well at my grandmas) since monday afternoon. Every day is a challenge but it is getting better. I am still very very sore and my body is still mad at me from the twisted bowel and from them having to put a gtube in my old stomach.
I came home from the hospital with a jp drain which will come out on monday at the weight wise clinic by dr birch and also a gtube that will stay in for 1 month!
my current issue is that i am on a full fluid bariatric diet, but i am having probles with thicker things, like pudding and thick yogurt.
i have no appitite so my grandma keeps reminding me every half hr to make sure i have some fluids if she's not seen me take a sip in a bit.
i am also having some issues trying to get enough fluids, i am taking small sips all the time and i'm just hoping to get it all in :)
home care came today to give me tips on how to get into my grandma's tub (its abnormally high/deep) as well as how to change my drain dressings.
i have posted some pictures on my blogg http://jensgastricbypassjourney.blogspot.com/
i hope everyone else is doing ok.
jen
i guess it could help if i could type my own blog address right, lol but here ya go!
i will change it in the original post, sorry bout that
So we know how you are doing. yes our body has a way of letting us know it isnt happy with us. I went to the Prep For Surgery Class today and that is the one thing they said..
I guess when they say everyone is different they aren't joking. Im starting a full liquid diet on next friday. and going to work on small portions. not eating in the living room ect. Maybe some thing will trigger.
Look forward to your updates..
Karen
