Both Air Canada and West Jet have seat belt extenders on board. If you call their customer service line they should hopefully tell you how long they are. The seat belt extenders are the props the flight attendants use to demonstrate how you buckle the seat belt so they are approximately shoulder width in length.

I've always just asked when the flight attendant comes by. They're usually pretty discreet when giving them out. I flew on a Chinese airline and they even had them too...although I'm pretty sure I was the only person on that flight who needed one. I carry my weight in my hips and thighs so I need that extra length and there's usually plenty of room.

Westjet's are quite comfortable and long. I know of someone who did use 2 inflight. They have them onboard at least 4 available
