Our friends in the u.s seem to have all these support groups, as well as edmonton has meetings groups ect.. does any know if there are support groups in the lethbridge area?

 I think there was one in Medicine Hat. I don't know if it's there any more. 

There's a group that meets in Red Deer, and one that gets video-conferences of the meetings in Red Deer in Calgary. The Calgary group also does Coffee Nights at a Denny's on Friday nights.

I wish there was one that's closer to where I am. I have a feeling I could use it.

that's what i was thinking! med hat is about 3 hrs from me lethbridge is only an hour.. i could use a group for support b4 and after! i wonder how they get them started?

I didnt see the Edmonton Support Group.. Am I missing Something.. ?? LOL

 We're talking about southern Alberta. 

Edmonton, for me, is a 5 hour drive and I'm not driving that far to attend a support group meeting, sorry.

And the only reason I mentioned the Red Deer group is because they teleconference their meetings live to Calgary, which is only 2 hours from me.

hi there,  I am from Medicine Hat & we have a support group for pre/post op & anyone else who might be interested in WLS.  We meet @ the hospital @ 7 p.m. on the last Wednesday of each month with the exceptions of July, August & December.  Please feel free to email me @ [email protected] if you have any questions.
