Well I got you all stirred up...posting is beginning to happen again...great job all!

I had my referral sent in 2006....got my first call in July 2008...was in the program for a year...had my surgery in May 2009. 

Yes the waiting time is long...yes it can be discouraging....yes they make you feel like you are jumping through hoops...but I made it and I am happy that I did.

I am enjoying my RNY...even the ups and downs...more ups though.

Life is good.

I'm one of the shy ones *****ads this post daily but hasn't posted yet.  I've been in the Weight Wise Clinic since June of last year and have learned a LOT.   I dont' know how long I'll be waiting for surgery.  It's giving me lots of time to think long and hard about this decision!  I'm terrified at the prospect of surgery because I haven't had surgery since my tonsils were out about 40 years ago! 

I've met the most wonderful people on this site and consider it a huge source of information, encouragement and comfort.

I'm glad you're having such great success with your RNY!

I'll try my hardest to get over my shyness and start posting more!
