My 1st consultation with Dr Nohr is in March.  How soon after that will my surgery be?  What kind of prep is expected before the date?  Planning to start diet and exercise again (new year's resolution of course).  Would be nice to be into some sort of diet and exercise program once I finally get there.  Have had my March appointment for almost 3 years.  Was always hoping to get there on my own, but unfortunately, am at my heaviest and most unfit.  What is this liquid diet ou speak of?

HI joeymich

I had 1 consultation with Dr Nohr and was able to book my surgery that same day for
(for almost a yr later) there was not diet I have to be on before the surgery, but the healthier you are the bettter recovery youll have after surgery.  I purchased the book wieght loss surgery for dommies...it answered all the question I had, and Dr Nohr sujested it also.

Hi Brenda,
A lot more exciting than the BC one...
Where did you get your surgery done??

Was it hard in the beginning?  I am a little nervous!

Hey there..sorry I didn't realize you had asked a question...umm...so LOOOOOONG ago...sorry again. Hope you read this..

Anyways, I had my surgery done at the Royal Alex hospital in Edmonton through the Weight Wise Clinic (same hospital).

The many appointments I went through...journaling and so forth...feels like you are constantly jumping through hoops. But it was for my own good. Some get surgery in Mexico or elsewhere...they are cut and sent home with no after care. The WW clinic gives you care till you are on your own two feet again and doing well...and even then the door is still open.

Anyways, I am happy...living a new life...and loving myself again!
