Introducing myself
Hello my fellow Albertans/Canadians....I am new to this site. Was a recommended from my SVG surgeon. I was sleeved on November 10, 2009 in Mexicali by Dr. Aceves. I choose to go out of country because I have been waiting forever within our own province. My experience was awsome with Dr. Aceves. I was attending the WW program at the Royal ALex. I am not sure if I am still able to attend any of the remaining modules..still need to inquire about that...anyway...for me it was the best decision I have made. I just wish I had done it sooner. I have about 145lbs I need to lose. I am down 18lbs already.
I know that any WLS is meant to be used as a tool in weigh loss and lifestyle changes need to be done. I am wondering if there is a support group that I would be able to join. I know that one is held with the group from the WW program but I do not know if this open to people who are not in the WW program.
If anyone has any information I would greatly appreciate.

Hi Jentle--welcome to the AB forum..congrats on your recent weight loss and surgery. You seem to be doing a great job at working your sleeve. I have heard great things about Dr Aceves. Hope you are able to continue the modules.
I believe the support group at the royal alex is independant of the clinic and I am sure you would be welcome.
Keep us posted on your journey
