Any news.....
Hey ya, I am not really sure. I think I need to wait until after my first docs appointment?? Honestly I am not sure. I would say for sure 2 weeks or 3.
The clinic said 3
The preop clinic said 2 (they don't know)
I am not quite at a week and have no brain capacity. It is a full time job just trying to get 8 cups of fluid (I haven't quite done it yet) and minor protein. So I know at this point I cannot go back yet.
Wish I could be clearer...but try to get 3 if you can.
From the time of the first call to my surgery it was about a month, but my work was already informed.

Hey New Leaf
Glad you are on the "losing" side now....and the best is yet to come!
I have been doing extremely well...many compliments...many stares...many woo hooo's....many mirrors I don't shy away from....many clothes I try on....many stores I have never been in....many times I thank everyone around me...many firsts in my life...and I know more to come!
Keep in touch...I come in here often...read and leave....I post here and there.
To date, I have lost 45 lbs....it has slowed to about 3-5 pounds a month....I will take it all.
Hugs
Brenda

Hi Brenda,
I just had my sleeve done by Dr. Joya on Nov 10th in PV. The whole experience was great. Dr. Joya is very nice and easy to talk to and has impecable english so no language barriers there. Natalie, the woman who took care of my pre-op paperwork etc also has great english and is very nice and easy to talk to. They will answer any questions you have. I have had procedures done in two PV hospitals now including Cornerstone and I consider them to be cleaner than the hospitals I have been to in Edmonton. They have state of the art equipment and hospital beds. I did not stay in the hotel so I cannot comment on it but the hospital facilities and staff were all excellent. The nurses really try at their english and do know all the essential english such as more pain medication, more pillows, water, etc. They seem to really love their jobs and it shows. The liquid diet pre-op was difficult but worth it as you gotta shrink your liver. So far I am only 24 days post op and I have already lost 18 lbs! So I am thrilled to say the least.
I wish you all the best with your surgery and will be thinking of you on the 14th.
Bye for now,
Sharon
