Hey ya I am an out of towner...so need a bit of notice. Can you tell me when the next one is? I would love to go.

Next one is scheduled for Monday, Nov 9.  I am not sure if I'll be there.  Depends on whether my surgery is postponed on the 4th.  We'll see.  There is no meeting set for December yet.  We are currently in planning stages for setting the 2010 meeting schedule.

I am new to the site...I have been Sleeved...and am looking for a support group.  Would I be able to attend if I am not a part of the WW clinic?

Hi Jentle:

No problem.  We have a couple of people who have undergone bariatric surgery via other surgeons like Dr. Nohr and Dr. Farries.  In fact, our support group was founded by a person who didn't go through the Weight Wise clinic as it was not an official program at the time, but they were still operated on by either Dr. Birch or Dr. Davey.  It guess this just shows that necessity is the mother of invention.

So, yes, you can attend.  At this point, no official meetings have been scheduled for 2010 as we are waiting on the availability of our meeting room.  The best way to find out is to join our Yahoo group at http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/EdmontonBSG/.
