Surgery booked

 I am from Calgary Alberta, but I am traveling to Ontario for lap-band surgery.  Surgery date is August 11th.  This has been a difficult journey, but I have severe osteoarthritis in my knee, and I am unable to exercise at the moment.  I had a torn cartilage, which has progressed to the point that at the age of 43 I need a knee replacement.  I also need to lose at least 70 pounds before I can have one.  I am feeling excited and nervous, those emotions seem to swing back and forth like a pendulum.  I am glad to see all of the support on here.

Wow, I would be jumping off the walls in anticipation if I was a month till surgery. I can understand the changing emotions, this is a really big step. I'm sorry to hear about your health problems. It must be really difficult. Have you tried aquasize? It will definently help with the weight loss. Hope you have an uneventful surgery and a speedy recovery.  Congratulations!

 Thank you.  Yes I enjoy aquasize, still have to be careful as it can aggravate my knees.

Good luck with the surgery.  I too have multiple health issues and even the 60 lbs I have lost so far has helped...I still need to lose another 80 or so.  REmember we are here for support and keep Calgary Lapmanders in mind when you get back, several of them also had the surgery in ONtario.
