need a revision

I live in Calgary and I am looking to have a revision, I had gastric bypass in 2002 in Med Hat but have now regained 80lbs and am diabetic again, I am looking for someone in Alberta and also I need to have it covered by Alberta Health Care..Can anyone suggest a doctorÉ

Hi Lorna--sorry to hear you are struggling. I am not sure about your area...the only one I know is the Edmonton clinic weight wise. I hope you find some help. I heard that the weight wise clinic has a new part of the clinic being devoted to revisions.

I am in need of a revision too and I have waited 6 years for someone to help me. I saw an article in the Edmonton paper about a lady who had a revision with a Dr. Shazeer Karmali here in Edmonton and I emailed him and he replied right away. I called his clinic and got my doctor to call for a referral and although I had to wait about 3 months to hear anything I was sent for blood tests and a gastroscopy and I have an appointment with the surgeon on the 24th of July. What this means I don't know but I am hopeful. Go to this site:
