What is happening with everyone?

Well it seems that I have passed the 3 week mark of this journey and I am going to say that I am now down 67 lbs from my September start date. Woo hoo.

I am hovering at the 250 lb mark - I had one sighting of 249 but then it was gone! Maybe next week, it doesn't seem that long ago that I was trying to make 270 go away!!

I am feeling very well, but having to answer a lot of questions, many people had no idea that I had surgery. With my sisters illness etc. they just thought I was stressed and losing weight or something I guess.
But I have had mostly a positive response. The only people who say duragatory things seem to be the ones that would probably benefit from doing the same thing!!  Interesting.

After we came home from a meeting last night, my husband said "Pretty soon you'll be the smallest one of all" I won't be, ever, but it was nice to know that he sees a difference.

Anyway just an update to those who are keeping track of me.

Take care and keep up the good work.

Woah Joann-you are doing amazing! You are work working it! That was sweet of your husband to mention it. You must be flying through your clothes...you probably don't have anything left to wear :)
Thanks for letting us know you are getting tons of questions and you are not telling people...I won't be telling anyone also...if it happens for me. What has been the biggest change for you so far?

You can either believe it will happen...or believe it won't both are self fulfilled prophesies

Luckily I have a friend who has donated some of her 3X's to me and then I have a couple of sisters in 2's & 1's so I'll be OK for awhile.

I have retired most of my 4,5 and 6X's and they have found new homes.

I am doing contract bookkeeping now so I don't have to go into the office very often so I find I don't need nearly as many clothes.

The biggest change for me is the new amount of energy and amibition I now have. Sometimes it used to be more than I could do just to get out of bed, never mind go to work or get anything accomplished at home.
I just feel so much better, my grandkids will benefit from this too since I now have the energy to do so much more with and for them.

Just this morning I was in the bank and one of the tellers said, "you look fabulous, you must have lost a pile of weight", I just said yes and smiled - oh and thanked her for the compliment.

As I say - it is going very well.

Good Luck

Joann

Well, I'm only down 10 lbs since April, but I feel better and people are actually noticing.  I had an appt with Corey and my nut last week and Corey said I was doing amazingly.  He said I only needed to have 1 more appt with him and the nut and then he'd set up a consult to see the surgeon.  That was pretty exciting to hear.  I'm still hoping for the VSG.

Next appt is the end of July so we will see then what Corey has to say.
