Started 282 Lost 37 lb + Pre op diet lost 12=49 pounds lost pre op. CW 185
I'm pre-op. Had my consultation last Tuesday. Everything went well. Left the office with a piece of paper with my surgery date on it..... April 26, 2010! I can call in and see if there are any cancellations for surgery. I called in and got an earlier consultation date. Anything's possible. Ummm.... start new job tomorrow too. Kewl!!!

I'm in for my surgery next Wednesday (June 17th) I'm having the VSG (initially was doing the band, but my surgeon recently began offering the sleeve, and when I looked into it...it felt like the way to go for me. I know I'm doing the right thing, but to be honest, I'm scared. (but from the sound of others pre-surgery posts)...it's normal to have the presurgery jitters.
Since I started seeing the Surgeon in Sept 08, I've lost 45lbs. And I've been stuck on the same wait since late May...and it's a darn good thing I have the surgery to look forward to, or I'd be entering that cycle, yet again, and gaining 55 lbs back!!!
So...fingers crossed and I'll have some good news for all of you in a couple of weeks!!

I'll be thinking of you next week, while I celebrate my 4 week anniversary.
I know that you are scared but trust in Dr. F, he is a great surgeon and he'll look after you very well.
How long do you expect to be in hospital? I won't promise but I'll try and get in for a visit while you are there.
My advice to you would be get up and get moving ASAP because that definitely was the key to me starting to feel better.
Good luck and I'll be watching to see how you make out.

Yeah.... I was expecting a LONG wait. The actual date for my consultation wasn't until January 25, 2011!!!! 
Dunno when surgery would be after that. I've been calling in once a week to ask about cancellations, but so far nothing. *sigh* I even tried this morning. lol
New job is going good. It's not that hard. I sell wax potpourri things officially called ScentChips. They come in sooooo many scents. It's very heavenly. lol We also sell the burners and little wicker things you can put them in too.
I'm really hoping that I can have my surgery before the end of this year. It'd be nice to be skinnier than I would be with the original surgery date for next summer. lol
