So a year has passed since my bypass and i have lost 171lbs, today is the final step to all this sice i go for my tummy tuck in 4 hrs. My bypass was done the open way and was just wondering if anyone knows how the tummy tuck measures up to that pain wise?

Hi,
I just had a panni with Dr. Nohr 4 weeks ago.  WOW!  You will not regret it for a moment.  It is like night and day.  The pain was minimal.  Less than with the RNY.   I honestly felt great by week 2.  Every now and then I can tell I have over done it because I get sore and have minor discomfort.  I pop a couple of tylenol and presto pain gone.  He did an awesome job.  In fact my Gp commented that is was better than work she has seen by many Plastic surgeons.

Good luck, when are you getting it done and by whom?

Hi,
I had it done last thursday june 4th by Dr. Nohr as well. The pain was not that bad at all and i cant wait to get my staples out on tuesday. I had my surgery at 11 am and was up using the washroom by 3 and went for a little walk, i have had no problems standing straight or sleeping in my own bed so i cant complain at all.
