support group in the Calgary area

Hi again everyone.  I just got back from getting my fill under flouro at the Edmonton clinic and am feeling more optomistic now that my band will be working again.

I am still interested in getting a support group going , maybe once a month or so.  Anyone out there interested??  It would be for everyone, not just bandsters , and people who are looking at getting surgery and want to meet with those of us who have had it already.

If you are interested send me a message and I will see what I can do to get things rolling.  Also state a day and time that is best for you.

I am interested in a support group...and I have the technology to do it...but I want to do a virtual one.
If someone else was interested in  running it I could set it up...all you  would need to participate is a headset with a mic and a computer...I could teach you the rest...very easily

anyone want to try to try it out? Anyone know some of the folks that are in the Edmonton support group...that might be able to join us to let us know how it is run? I have never been to it...so I don't know how it works.

Hi again, just wondering how the support group online is coming?  I still really want a face to face one to go to but I am gettring so depressed and discouragedthat I am willing to try any thing.  Thanks

 I was hoping that something had come of this... I read this thread a while ago.  I'm post-op Gastric Bypass and have been trying to find a support group in the Calgary area.  Even just people who have had some kind of bariatric surgery and want to talk about it... Can someone let me know what's going on?

Hi. Hope you are doing well after your surgery.

I went to the Calgary Lapbanders dinner meeting on July 10 and they seem like a good group but that is the only one I have found so far.  Everyone is welcome.   They can be found in the Yahoo groups.

Keep posting , I know there are other RNY people out there, in fact I know one who had her surgery only a short time ago too and she reads this site.

Good luck.  Mail me if you want , I have gone to several support groups with RNY people, in Arizona and may have picked up something that will help you.
