Glad the pre-admission testing went well. It was ok for me too....just be glad when they wheel me in for surgery.

This scare of cancelled and postponed surgeries has me a tad stressed though....

Hopefully the news is right and they are restricting it to hip, knee and cataract surgeries.  I feel bad for the ones that are/were on the waiting list for their surgeries....I can't imagine what they must be feeling right now.

Glad to hear you are doing okay. I think it has been a year for you? How has your weight loss been? I remember you mentioning in Jan that you needed to lose 15-30pounds...were you okay?

Thanks for the advice to be pushy and not accept no...or to cry :) I will see how it goes. I am hopeful. I have done everything they have asked...I have done the journalling, I work out 3-5 times a week...blah blah blah you all know the drill.
Thanks for the encouragment and good luck with the preop diet...you can do it :)

It has been almost a year for me. My weight loss has not been the greatest, I havent gained but Ive struggled all along this is why im in the WW program. I havent lost the complete amount of weight the dr recommended but they said with the ensure diet ill be ok with the amount of weight theyd like me to lose.
yeay it was really hard for me as Sharma said y our ready for surgery tghen another dr, said nope not yet then I freked then 2 weeks later yeah your approved, my goodness why is everyone not on the same page, thatgs why Im saying to everyone not to accept no for an answer and to push a bit, that seem like the only way this is happening for me. Thank goodnessf for. Dr. Karmali that felt for me . I did the journaling and done my steps counts almost all the time.

Hi ya --I am getting the VSG....I have been researching for close to 19 years and feel really comfortable with a restrictive procedure for me. I don't live near edmonton so a lap band wouldn't work as the fills/unfills need a major city.

Not gaining while in the clinic is seen as success...you have gotten a handle on things. You should be proud. I feel bad for you being between two docs...how frustrating.
I will try to post tomorrow after...I am sooo nervous

Good luck Cecile with your liquid diet next week. The first three days are a tad hard....I felt dizzy and week alot but eventually it got better and my body got accustumed.

Just think of the prize at the end....and they do want to see some weight loss for sure before surgery.
