I forgot ...how many shakes you are allowed and anything else? I think...can't you have celery?

I have my next appointments this Friday...I am hoping (praying) that I will be approved for surgery this time. What was the process for you once you were approved?
I am sooooo excited for all of us...yeah.

So nice to finally know your name lol.  I know piglet is Cecile.

Week two doesn't seem to be so bad (I had heard that from others)....but still craving cheeseburgers and pizza lol.

How long have you been in the WW clinic program? Are you from Edmonton? How much are you looking to loose?

Who is your appointment with on Friday...nurse? Dietician? Internist?

My last appointment was with my nurse and the internist? It was the internest (Dr Karmali) who said I was ready to see a surgeon. From there we walked to the front desk and booked a date and time. I also had another appt with the nurse on the same date.

When the surgery was discussed with Dr Birch..we went to the desk...he told the receptionist book her for surgery.

After that it was just waiting for a call from Lorraine...Dr Birch's booking receptionist.

I don't know what else to tell you.

Hey Brenda--I am amazed you are doing so well. It is the one part of the process I am afraid of...how...can you survive without chewing? Even salad...nothing hey? did they say if you cheat you cannot have the surgery? I sure you have not cheated.

I have been in the clinic forever...ok just feels like it. I will check my date book but a yeari****hink a a bit longer? I am from the North...about 3 hours so it is a full day travel for an appointment. I think you mentioned you were from Edmonton? My situation is very simple I do have PCOS but no meds to sort out or psych needed. So far just a few blood tests, nurses and nuts, oh...and one doc/internist?

How many nurse and nut appointments did you have? I have seen one doc...maybe Karmali...LOL it was a surprise as he happen to be around one day when I was in with the nurse and I was asking to try and group some of my future appointments...as it is hard to travel to each appointment. I love how the doc dictated a letter right in front of me. At first it is weird...but now I like it :)

How tall are you? What are you hoping from your surgery? You are going for the rny?

This Friday is nurse and nut...I think after that I need to see the surgery doc. I assume that will be a few weeks...then...?

Honestly I can't remember how many nut appts I had....I saw the nurse once at the beginning then mainly my nut....the psychologist a few times (he totally screwed me up)...he said I am depressed and need to go on medication. I went away upset and crying..called my GP (who has known me for almost 18 years). She said you aren't depressed just frustrated with their program.

So, I quit going...ya I quit!! Cancelled a couple of my appts and said to hell with it. My nurse Lisa called me at work a month later and asked what was going on....I explained to her I wasn't going back if I had to see that quack again....she told me he wasn't there anymore...hmmm!

I agreed to come back...saw Dr Sharma that day too...he referred me for surgery and Dr Birch...

The rest is history.

Ohh....I am 5'3" and as of today...weigh 242 lbs. So I my ideal weight is around 125 or so....seems unreal at this point in time...but I am determined.

What about you? How tall? Your weight now?

Ohh...I hav e 3 Ensure a day and 2 cups of Skim milk...and at least 2.5 litres of water a day.  Sometimes I get all my milk in sometimes not....depends how busy I am.

Sorry for the confusion I want to lose 107 lb I have lost 23 pounds so far...87 to go to my first goal...then I will reassess from there.

Hello Everyone,

I am doing fine, I had my pre-op admission clinic yesterday , that went really well, It took 2 hours, very informative. I learned that for lap band surgery you need an overnight stay in the hospital and usually it takes 2 hours to perform the surgery, I taught it was way less but I am still happy. Just praying that everything goes smoothly in the OR. I think I am getting kinda of nervous, exactly a week from today ill be starting my 2 week ensure diet, hopefully that will go smootly as well. HEy Brenda, good luck on y9our surgery next week. and also the other girl that hopes to get approved for s uergery friday, I have a point of view for u, dont accept no for an answer, the first dr fromt eh weight wise clinic said I was notr eady for surgery and i was angry, i cried and cried, then I asked to meet with Dr. Sharma againa nd two weeks after Dr. Karmali approved my surgery so keep your head and chin up and dont give up. good luck on friday, Ill be thinking of you.
