Well, I'm not going to worry too much about it.  If  I don't hear from Stephanie, I'll inquire with them when I attend the nutrition session in a week or so.

sorry another question for you, do you know how many surgery the doctors perform in a day ??? cause shayenen was 4 th in line for dr. karmalli and she is getting her bypass on may 27th, i am 7 in line so just trying to see what to expect.

It's my understanding they do surgeries once a week....each doctor I mean..so that would be three a week..but I am not totally sure.

I am sure your call will come within the next week or so...I know exactly how you feel....but I won't get really excited till they weigh me for the last time and I am laying on the table.

We could get bumped...or heaven forbid I gain before...although they weigh you after the two week liquid diet soooo..that's good!

Ok, Shayenne told me that I think Dr. Karmali does surgeries Wednesday and Friday??? Im not sure do. So they do up to 3 surgery in one day you mean??? I know me too im so scared to even gain a pound, Ive been doing weigh****chers now for 2 weeks to make sure to lose and not gain, even if Id stay the same id be ok with that, Ive lost a bit so far do. I wont get excited em either until im fast asleep on taht table. Well I have a dietician apt on May 25, so Ill just get my surgery after that probably, so for me I gotta make sure i dont gain one pound, as they will back date my surgery they told me,

Well Dr Davies still is doing surgeries too..so I am not sure what the exact number of bariatric surgeries they do in a week.  I just know they are all elective, so we could get bumped if emergency surgeries are required.

But I am thinking possitve...not negative

Also, because you are getting the band done, you won't require a very long hospital stay...with RNY we will be in the hospital for about two days...band I think overnight or you are out the same day...not sure though.

So you may go in earlier...

My understanding is taht I am out the same day unless there is any complications.

I just got a call from the RAH...pre op testing on April 30....8 am.  They said to bring all my meds that I am on and expect to be there for the morning and some of the afternoon.  NOthing on what kind of testing...but I am thinking, bloodwork, ECG, ches x-ray and a endoscopy I think that's what it's called...to measure your throat or soemthing like that.

I have had a couple of surgeries before in my lifetime, never hve I gone for a throat one...

I guess I will know more on April 30.

Hey, you did not receive your pre op testing yet right>? I remember now. I already did all the testing, where are you scheduled to do the pre op, at he RAH. weird.

Well every other surgery I had ever had the pre-op testing was done a few weeks prior to surgery.  My question to you all....why would they do the pre op testing when you hadn't received a surgery date yet?

I guess Dr Birch has a different protocol...not sure.

When I talked to Lorraine, she said the RAH will be calling for an appt for my pre-op and it's usually three weeks prior to surgery..so!

Anyways, I haven't had any other testing except for the ones we did prior to entering the clinic and I had some bloodwork done here and there during my 1 1/2 year with the WW clinic.

This is my only pre-op testing I will have to do....
