Hi Yall

My name is Ani...I had VSG done in Mx last year...I want my son to have the proceedure, but can't afford to self pay for him.  Does anyone know if any of the Alberta doctors do the VSG?  And how long is the wait list to get in for a consult?

I believe that the Weight Wise clinic now is doing the vertical sleeve , unsure as to the wait time but know it is up to three years for the banding.

thanks for the reply...Hmmm...3 years, just for the consult????  I don't think we will be in Alberta that long...well, we will be here for 3 years, but then another 2 for the actual surgery...5 years...I know we will be back in BC by then...damn!!!

MAYBE YOU SHOULD START THE PROCESS IN B.C.    I THINK IT'S A LONG WAIT THERE YOO.

But we can't do that because we don't have BC medical...Oh this is a messed up system isn't it!!!!!

It's long....I think about 2 years.  I have just been approved for surgery on March 2....and it will be another 6 - 8 weeks before I get a date.

Patience.....it's getting harder.
