Booking times?

I was approved for surgery with Dr Birch on March 2. Does anybody know what the wait is once approval has been made? I am having the RNY surgery.

Is there anybody we can call to see where we are on the waiting list?

Hey there--sorry I cannot answer your question. But I am wondering how your journey was? I am in the stages of seeing people...nurse, dr dietic...etc. ans keep wondering what it will take to get approved?

Call the weight wise clinic, they should be able to tell you how you are progressing on the list.

Nope they don't know.....when I get the call from Lorraine at the RAH...then I call the WW clinic. From there they will weight me and book post-op appointments.

Hi FyernRain, Just wondering I was approved for the lap band surgery as well around that time. Did you go for all the test, blood test, ekg, lung test, barium swallow ??? And were you already booked in to go to a NUTRITION CLASS at the Royal Alex, Weight Wise Program>>> Just wondering, Im still waiting for my surgery date as well. Let me know if you her from anyone, Im also curious.

Yes I had the nutrician orientation before and after surgery on March 19.  I was told at the meeting that people who were approved in January 2009, are having their surgeries this month...so if you were approved in March, then we should be having our surgeries sometime in May. I am hoping to get a call sometime in April.
