HI everyone.  Well Arizona is great and the weather is wonderful( 80 above).

I find I am far more active here than at home so will have to have a plan when I get back for sure!!!y
Have attended some great support groups here and they have all topics..there is one for nutrition, one for exercise, one run by a psychologist and  others run by people who have had the surgeries.  I attend four or five a month and am getting some good ideas for one if anyone is interested when I get back.

I am losing slowly, averaging the 1 lb a week and I know I probably need a fill but that will happen when I get home in April.  Keeping on program is a challenge ,especially with the slow loss and not much change in measurements but I know that this will be worth it and that I can do it.  There are people here who have lost more than 160lbs with the band....most encouraging.

I am experiencing some left side discomfort around the port area but hope it is only from all the twisting and exercising we do in the aquacise classes.

Higs to you all and keep up the good work...we are all worth it!!!

Hey Arizona girl!!

Glad to hear things are going good.

I never did hear if you had come across Karen Barron alias Carebare on OH.
She is the girl I met in Dr. Farries office. She's from Calgary, she has lots of contacts and I think that you and her need to get together to start a support group down there. She is younger and doesn't have as much as us to lose but she needs the support a lot I think.

Anyway, I go to Dr. Farries tomorrow and for the first time I am not looking forward to it. I have to get my pre-op done and I don't think I've lost anything at all this month. I don't think I 've gained but I have not been eating right, sometmes too much and sometimes nothing so my body is all screwed up.
So we'll see and then I will get back on track.

We were to the casino on Friday with the Wildeman's, Calvin won a little and we had fun so that's what counts.

Talk to you soon

JI Joann:

I'm not doing so hot in the food departmentr myself.  Have been eating too many carbs and taking too big a bites.  Have lost the 1 lb a week average they say but it is hard work.

I guess my next fill will really help, everyone tells me. I should be getting them every month so I guess losing at all is doing good right now.

The support group down here are great.  I am going to one on nutrition tonight.

Other than that all is well and I guess we will be heding home in about 6 weeks . Should be baqck by the middle of April.  I am waiting for the Edmonton clinic to contact me about my next fill but as usual they are not on the ball.

Good luck with Dr. Farries and keep in touch .

Love Edith

Hello everyone!

I'm new to the Calgary area and would be interested in a support group! Keep in touch if anything evolves!
