Girl walks into a WLS Clinic and throws her MasterCard on the table.................and states. 
OK who in here is willing to give me a VSG.....I got the time and the money and the will to have it done!!  C'mon Big Fella.......who is willing....nudge nudge, wink wink.

Girl gets VSG....loses her weight..............lives happily ever after!!

OK.....so it is my fantasy....but hey....I am entitled.

Here is my deal, I am looking for some help in finding a surgeon to perform a VSG.  I am from Eastern Canada where the wait list for one is 5-7 YEARS.  Yea ok....not this girl.

So I am researching the sites, the other provinces, the internet as a whole and like a VSG junkie looking for the BIG FIX.

That is right people...I am surfing the net, and taking names. 

So who has some names.....some clinics...some prices......you know the drill.

I'm in Alberta and am booked for VSG with Dr. Aceves in Mexicali. $9 500 US...yeah it sucks that our $ is so low right now. I did tons of research and all things being equal ...I think it helped that there was a seat sale into San Diego!

There is a board on OH for VSG...tons of info there. Ask lots of questions, look at all the Dr. stats and read others experiences.

Dr. Blackstone at the Scottsdale Bariatric Centre is a very good surgeon.  It is in Arizona
I almost had my surgery ther but ended up having it in Alberta...the clinic is a centre of excellence and she is a very respected surgoen in bariatrics.  Good luck.

I'm in British Columbia and my hubby and I are booked in with Dr. Alvarez in Mexico on March 13th.  My mother in law recently went to Dr. A (December 2008) and RAVED about him and her experience.  She is doing fabulous, NO issues whatsoever with post-op and she's shouting it from the rooftops!  I think the price right now is $9750 US.

I have contacted the clinic and I am looking very closely at what they are offering.  So far, it sounds like a great deal.  Nice to hear positive things about Dr A.

I am looking at the second week in April...........we will see.
