new to Canada(Edm)post surgery, need fills-help!

I am an American citizen that has immigrated to Canada. I had my lap band surgery over two years ago. I am looking for someone to do fills and maintenance that is in the Edmonton area. Dr Mitchell in Calgary has done one for me so far and I am planning to do another soon, but I would really prefer not to have to drive all the way to Calgary if possible. I see there is a Dr Davies here in Edmonton- would I need a referal from my family Dr to get in there? I am unfamiliar with AHC procedures and would love some advice. Thank you.

Unfortunately, I doubt Dr. Davies will help you. They don't help people who had surgery outside of their program...and I have heard it doesn't even matter if you have moved here.  However, your GP can try to refer you to the weightwise program and see if they will take you.

I have also read in earlier posts that there is a nurse/former patient who does fill not too far away and that there is one person in St. Albert I think who will do them.  Just try doing a search in the archives.

Depending on where you got it done Dr. Hartman in Millwoods might do it.  He won't do ones done in Mexico for sure though so don't bother if you got it done there.
