Happy New Year All

Just wanted to wish all my friends (including those I haven't met yet) a really Happy New Year.

Today I had a couple of WooHoo moments. I went to town with my husband and climbed in and out of the truck even more times than him and it wasn't near the struggle it used to be (WooHoo) and when we went to McDonald's so he could have his coffee and muffin (I have nothing when we go there as they don't even have decaf or herbal tea) I actually fit in those hokey chairs they have (WooHoo) I didn't used to fit at all and today was a bit of a squeeze but I'm getting there.

I think 2009 will be a good year for me and I hope for all of you too-after all we are working at it right?

So have a great New Year's Eve and day and may there be less of us all this time next year!!

Happy New Year to you too!

Good for you for resisting the temptation (aka MacDonalds).  I was there a few weeks ago with my husband and while he had the Big Mac, etc...I had a water and one of their apple snacks.

I did the cup of food for brekkie and at lunch today.  Hopefully I can maintain that for dinner too.

Anyways, take care and keep up the good work!!!

Good for you - I know you will be hungry tonight but give it a try and have a snack if you have to.
Chris encouraged me to have almonds for a snack if I was hungry and of course I drank a lot of water too. Surprisingly 15 or 20 almonds eaten one at a time will help the pangs. And the pangs will go away eventually.
I have to be really careful about carbs as they seem to be my trigger, if I get started it is tough to quit.
I was thinking about you and your weight loss and I think you are probably doing just fine, you don't have nearly as much to lose as me so we shouldn't be comparing.
But if you can prove to yourself that you can lose some more on your own (by doing the 3 cups a day) then maybe you will decide to get the lapband and use it as a tool to get to and maintain your goal.
Anyway I hope you enjoy your New Years - I am cooking turkey for my daughter and her family and a couple who are very good friends tomorrow- so we will have lots of yummy leftovers to keep us going. They do last a long time when I am not eating as much!
So good luck and I'll talk to you next year!!! heehee
