postponed....

Hi all, Just when I was set and getting rid of the jitters my surgery has been postponed. I was to go may 20th and am now rescheduled for June 2nd. What a bummer...........

I know the feeling Tammy, mine was supposed to be May 21 and I got a call Friday saying it will now be June 6, hopefully... they wouldn't give me a definite yes. I was so bummed all weekend! It felt just devastating I was sooo psyched for the 21st! But I guess we have to think positive and believe that there is a reason why things happen!

are you having you surgery in Edmonton? If you are which Dr.? Are you being banded or having the bypass?

I am having the gastric bypass by Dr Farries in RedDeer.

and actually his nurse just told me that he is waiting for...( I thought she said) Dr Birch to come up and assist him from Edmonton and that is why mine got postponed. He was supposed to be there on May 21 then for whatever reason could not make it so will be on the 6th of June.

aahh... Dr. Birch is doing mine, but the OR was closed down on for the 20th due to no OR staff. So I wonder if he has had a few days cancelled and needs to catch up and that's why you were postponed. The ripple effect... I am having the band. Have you looked at the Ontario Board? There is so much information on there, lots on the bypass not to much on the band. Check it out if you havent.Good luck!!
