Social/support group in Calgary?

Has anyone started a social/support group in Calgary? Would anyone like to start one?

I have a Group on Facebook I started for people in the WMP. But We would let anyone join. We talk alot about the health cut backs of the program, but you could find some friends out of there. Just a suggestion for you

I would love to start one! I have not seen one yet and I think it would be great if some of us could get together. Let me know what you were thinking. Hailey

Maybe start at a coffee house or something informal, everyone welcome....my surgery is coming up so I can't start till the summer. I think it would be nice to have a local chapter of support for anyone thinking about the surgery and options.....get a clothes swap going etc. Any suggestions?

Damn! I could do a clothes swap or donation to anyone in need --- yesterday was my 5 month anniversary and I have quite a few clothes that no longer fit (Size 20 & 22 mostly)... I'm solid into Size 18 and have a few things that at 14 & 16 ... I'm pretty pleased If anyone is interested let me know ~ I usually end up hauling it all back to Value Village (most of it comes from there - so I just take it back!).

Doesn't it feel great to ditch some old clothes! I'm down form a 28-30 to a 24 now. How has the weight loss been for you? Is it lap band you've had? Christina

I am coming to Calgary next week to visit family and would love to meet up with anyone, coffee or such. I had my surgery Feb. 12, 2008. Do you meet on a regular basis?

I would love to meet some people in calgary. I'm 6 months in to it and I've lost 50lbs. I really feel if I had some "real" people to talk to I'd do better. The medical staff is great but they have not had surg or for that matter really fat.
