PLEASE HELP-fill dr. needed.

i am in desperate need of finding a doctor that will do fills for surgery's done out of the country,,,this is that LAST step before i book my surgery and i havent been able to find anyone that will do fills on ppl that get the surgery done in mexico! please help..

You can try Dr. Daviduck in St. Albert but I don't think he will. This was one of the reasons I never booked outside of Canada. Sure it is a little cheaper, but the headache of getting doctors to see you or help you if there was a problem was not worth it. Hope you have success in finding someone. If not.....I went to the Surgical Weight Loss Centre in Toronto for my band. They are great. Dawn

Hi Jordanna, I had my band done in Mexico and just called Dr Mitchell here in Calgary and I know he has a lot of patients from Mexico. It costs $125 for a fill. Have you called the band surgeons offices in Edmonton? Good luck. Betty

Dawn, Thinking about getting banded in Mexico but no luck in finding a Dr here that does fills, does your Dr take new patients? Did you get banded here in Canada or somewhere else? If you got banded here in Canada was it back east & did you have to pay then did Alberta Health Care cover it? How long did you have to wait to see the Dr then to have the surgery? Sorry to bombard you with questions, but can't seem to find too many people here in Alberta who have had banding done. Sue

Hi Sue. I was banded in Mississauga at the Surgical Weight Loss Clinic. They were fantastic. I am not from Alberta (a little farther north) but I am claiming my surgery on income taxes. I had to pay up front 2 weeks before my surgery. It seems that here in Canada is a bit more, but it is worth the non-hassle of getting fills and language barriers and such.
