Pregnant!
So I was diagnosed with Polysistic Ovaries in December 06. I had my son in January of 2006. We couldn't get pregnant at all after my son. I weighed 230 pounds when I got pregnant with him. After the pregnancy I ballooned up to 320 pounds. I really wanted to have more kids right away. I had the Lap-Band surgery done on August 22, 2007. It is now October 21, 2007 and I weight 275ish. AND I AM NOW PREGNANT! The Weight Loss Center in Mississauga, ONT is where I had my surgery (though I live in Calgary), I called them to see what I should do and they told me just to see my regular doctor and do what you need to do for the baby. I would like to know if anybody has gone through what I am going through this soon after gettting banded? I have found nothing on this topic while googling it. They just say that pregnancy is perfectly normal after you lose all the excess weight. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this. I just feel really alone like no body has gone through this before. I appreciate all replies! Have a great day!
Hi Hailey,
I'm sort of going throught the same thing, except that I had gastric bypass surgery. I ended up pregnant 6 months after surgery. I am now seven and a half months pregnant and I have not gained weight, I lost three pounds my last appt. Things sare ewll though. The baby is growing fine, I have just had to be really careful with what I am eating because I trnd to get wick off of certain foods. I wish you the best throughout your pregnancy. My doctor has been monitoring me pretty closely, and I will be going for my third ultrqa sound shortly. Take care.
