Gastric Sleeve??

Has anyone out there had the VGS surgery (Vertical Gastric Sleeve)? I'm interested in chatting with anyone who has had it in the past couple of years to see what the results have been like and if there were any side effects (other than weight loss hehe). A friend of mine just had it and has lost over 25 lbs in 3 weeks and she feels great. However, she went to Mexico and it cost $10,000 so just wondering if anyone in Canada or US does it. Cheers, Deb
