Frustrating I tell you!! I called Dr.Davey's office and they said I had a 2 year wait for only yes a consultation. That seems like a life time away now that a person has there mind set that they want this life change.. Is there any tricks to speed this transition up quicker. Help!! Tammy

Don't know any shortcuts...... are you in the edmonton area? I've heard Dr. Ferris in Red Deer takes in new clients once a year... not sure when. The westcan board has a bunch of Dr. Ferris people on it and they could advise you better than me. If your "in the loop" with Dr. Davey you might be well advised to just wait the 2 years and use the time to get as prepared as possible. I can't stress enough how happy i've been with the whole clinic in edmonton and know you will be well taken care of when you do get thru the wait. Terry

Hmmm..Well it only took me a year to get in and have surgery. Then again i had a very high BMI and co morbs that put me as a Urgent Care case. Call Capital health Weight wise and see if they can get you in the weight wise program sooner. This is how most are getting moved through faster and it does work. Basically its a program that weeds out those who need the surgery and those who need other options. You can email me anytime and i will give you the information needed. Myself.. i prefer the Edmonton Drs.. they are the ones that do the surgery via Lap instead of open. The recovery time is much faster and less chance for complications Pam
