Thank you everyone for your thoughts and encouragement. Everything went great. Had my 2 week check up earlier this week and I had a great check up. No hernias! Incisions are healing very nicely!! I am not sure if this is weird but I am so proud and excited to share my surgery incisions. I have lost 20 pounds since surgery Dec15. and still losing. :) I hope everyone else is doing well with their recovery! It's a great way to start the new year!! Happy new year, happy new life!!
I'm so sorry...that must be frustrating. I'm doing ok.....no hunger, just progressed today from clear liquids to full liquids without a problem. There's pain at the site of the port placement, but even worse than that is the pain in my shoulder from the gas! I'm moving around fine and sleeping well. Am planning on going back to work on Monday. Thanks for asking! Let me know how your surgery goes!
My surgery had to be rescheduled to 2/17. I developed a bad upper respiratory infection but I want to know how you are doing!!
I had my surgery on Monday, 12/29. Hope yours went well! I'd be happy to compare notes if you're interested. I had a lap band..what did you have done?

I have my surgery on the last day of the year! Can't think of a better way to ring in 2015! New year and new life!
Hi everyone! I am new to the site, and had my RNY on Dec 5; the day before my birthday!
I have done really well so far. Only once have I had an issue, and that was eating about one bite too many of tuna the other day. I learned my lesson!
i am still off work. I go back Jan 5. I am an RN at a long-term care facility on night shift (only RN in charge of 3 LPNs and almost 100 patients). So I took a full month off.
Hope everyone had a great holiday!
