Double victory.... sleeve and getting married next year. That is so awesome. I find it so hard to understand why insurance companies will pay for meds, drs visits and hospital stays resulting from being obese. Its better for them and the patient is they get WLS and are healthier. I am so glad you won your case!!!!

We have a lot of people with dates 12/16-12/18!
I think some nerves are to be expected. Think of it like a wedding: you are excited and want to do it, but it's a huge step and your life is going to change quite a bit. However, instead of getting the toilet seat always in the up position, you get a healthy new you!!
Where in SWFL do you live? I live in Sarasota. Where are you having it done?

Hi Dukemom, I just got word that I am approved for Dec 18. I'm in SWFL and am getting sleeved on Dec 18. I'm excited but nervous and am starting to have second thoughts. Start the liquid diet on Dec 11. Lost 22 lbs in the last 2-months doing the high protein low carb low fat diet. Just rambling cause I'm nervous.

Just got notice that I am approved for Dec 18 sleeve in SWFL. Getting real scarred now. Need to drop about 150 lbs and have several co-morbidity es. I think I'm doing the right thing but am getting second thoughts. Can anyone help? Is the sleeve the right thing to do..anyone regret doing the surgery??
Diane - I'm not nervous yet. I just had another round of pre-op appts at Mayo today. I only have the nutrition workshop and meeting with the pharmacologist on 12/10 left. Everyone there is so nice and they are so organized.

I sooooo understand. I'm is Dec 18th. I'm fine most of the time then it hits me and it hits hard. How is the Optifast diet.?
I'm having my surgery at Humber River Hospital? Where are you going?

Hi Everyone
Well my surgery is booked for Dec 18 th. On Dec 15 it is my Mom and my Husbands birthday and the 16 th is my wedding anniversary. So it's going to be a busy week for all of us.
So anyone nervous? I'm fine most of the time then out of no where I have a small panic attack.
