You beat me by 1 day - Happy Birthday to a brand new you!!
My birthday is the end of November, so my surgery on 12/17 is a birthday/Christmas gift to myself. Yay!!
It does and it doesn't feel far away. We have less than 6 weeks to go. With Thanksgiving and getting ready for Christmas, not to mention the wrap up of our pre-op visits - it will be here before we know it! Maybe we can exchange post op notes!!
Mine got moved up a day to December 17th - so we're less than 2 weeks apart!!
How excited are you? If it weren't for Thanksgiving (and getting my Christmas cards and gifts done early), I'd wi**** were next week.
Mayo Clinic at Jacksonville is being awesome about getting me in before the end of the year (who knows if the new insurance policies will cover this surgery; even the insurance companies can't say - and they are currently selling the plans).
The surgeon's nurse just called and told me they are tentatively booking me for December 18th, pending final medical clearance on 11/19. I am beyond excited!!
I am anxious to learn who else has a December date. (I'm having a RNY.)
2013: 20 Funny New Year's Resolutions
When it comes to New Year's resolutions, our family members and friends can get quite creative and even funny with what they resolve to do in the New Year. Here a few good ones I have heard along the way...Oh, and a few of my own!
1. I resolve to stop procrastinating about procrastinating!
2. I will stop sending Facebook messages and emails to my loved ones when they are in the same room as I am!
3. I will use my treadmill for something other than a place to hang my jacket.
4. I will not sit at the kitchen table in my PJ's all day. Instead, I will move my computer to my bedroom.
5. I vow to never take a laxative and a sleeping pill on the same night!
