December 18th, 2013!

After six months of wrangling with the insurance company and jumping through all the hoops they put up, I finally have my surgery scheduled! December 18th is the day! Wow, December is going to be a killer month: My son is graduating from college on the 14th, Christmas on the 25th of course, and we're moving my father-in-law to an Alzheimer's care facility sometime in December as well. Ah, well, I guess it will all be worth it, and it should make the month fly by at the very least.

Mine is the 18th also! I'm in San Francisco area..., you?

Wow - how are you going do ALL that after surgery? I'm taking 17 days off (teacher), and not doing one darn thing except sit in my recliner and have the BF wait on me hand and foot!

QoftheU, thanks for the reply! I'm in St. Louis, so not near enough that we can compare notes I guess. Luckily Dad got moved yesterday; things moved much faster than I'd expected. My son's graduation is on the 14th, so that will be before my surgery, but it will suck being right in the middle of my clear liquids pre-surgery phase. After the surgery my husbeast is standing by to be support, and I do plan to take a couple of weeks to just heal up and hair over, but then it's back to job hunting and all the various day to day things.

Oh I'm so glad you got most of your 'stuff' completed. Don't need that hanging over your head. From what I've heard, a coupla weeks is pretty good. I sure hope so cuz I have to go back to school!

Do you have snow there yet? Is that a stupid question? LOL

I am scheduled for the 18th as well and will be taking off 11 work days off ( admin. asst.)  Good luck to you!

Thanks, Weezy! Good luck to you as well. I was an AA before moving to my current location, and I miss the work a lot. Haven't been able to find anything in the same line here; the economy just isn't as robust as where I moved from.
