I am having my surgery December 15th! Yay! After 6 months of jumping through hoops I was able to get my surgery date last week and it's been a week of up & down emotions from excitement to fear. I'm sure everyone is going through the same fear of missing their beloved friend "food". I am just trying not to overindulge. My surgeon cancels your surgery if you gain ANY weight....he says it means that you don't take it seriously. Fingers crossed. I'm so excited for all of us!

Congratulations on your surgery date! I have also finally gotten my surgery date and it is 9 days after yours (December 15th). After 6 months of getting all of the paperwork & testing done that was required by my insurance company, surgeon & hospital, I am glad to have a date. I have just finished reading a book by a lady who has been through it. I got it at the library. It's called "Before & After" and it's by Susan Maria Leach. It's been very helpful & makes it even more exciting. I look forward to hearing back from you.
