My surgery was was Dec 20, 2011 and I am down 80lbs today.  I am not sure if that is good or if I could be doing better.  I'm happy for the weight loss but I see other peoples posts on OH and some are down 100lbs in 5 mths or less!  Am I overly worried for nothing?

How are you all doing in your progress?

Hi, my surgery was on Dec. 19 th. I've been feeling great! I have been loosing between 1-3 lbs a week at fist now it's about 1 lb. So slow. But at least it is a loss. I too have seen some habits come back, but I feel like I'm much more aware of it. I don't really dump I do fet like hot flashes and heart races. I wi**** were worse for me.

I am so happy I did this and wish I would of done it sooner. On April 28th I signed up for my first 5 k. I know I am no where near being able to jog the whole time. BUT I signed up and am doing it. WOW.

Istarted this journey at 309 and as of last Tuesday I was 239 . I just weigh on Tues. I don't want to be a weigh****cher.

Darcy congrats to you on this journey as well as we both know it's not easy.

I'm feeling great and have lost what feels like a ton of weight. I am not dropping lbs as quickly and the scale bounces between 186 and 184 for the last week and a half.

I screw up and eat to fast or something I've eaten before fine decides not to agree with me about once a week. But it's so worth it to me. I am getting scared because I'm wanting to snack again at night so I need to nip that habit.

How are you all doing?

Hey blu3 you have not stopped loosing you have just reached a stall!! Everybody does! A stall can last from 2-6weeks. How long has it been for you? Just stick to your plan and it will start again! If you go to the top of the page and type in stalls in the search box I am very sure you will see alot of post about people having stalls!! Good luck and everything will work out!

I had my surgery Dec 29 th also. I do have a question for anyone that can help. I have lost close to 40 pounds since surgery but I have stopped losing and it's worrying me. Has anyone noticed the same problem?
I'm also using the treadmill, as often as I can get to one.
Terrie~

By the way I put the wrong surgery date on my profile, sorry.

I lost 30lbs the first month, 5lbs the 2nd month,  and 20lbs the third month. My second month was the killer. My doctor said that as long as I was in the target range for amount of pounds lost, it was ok. What are you doing differently that your slowing down?

We have the same surgery date. I really haven't tried much of raw veggies but so far nothing has really bothered me. How has your weight loss been? Mine is slowing down it scares me.

Is anyone else have problem eatting raw veggies? I had my procedure done on December 7th, and was cleared to eat "freely". Every time I try to eat a salad, I don't even get the first bite down. I'm dying for a salad!!!

you should have been told what you could eat before you left the hospital. I do have a question for you, what is a duodenal switch?
