Topic: RE: APPROVED!!!
omg the waiting was horrible, luckily it went by very quickly. i had anxiety that it wouldnt come back in time to schedule my preop or even the surgery. I am glad that is all over. now it is straight to surgery. this next 15 days is going to go by soooo quickly i know it. especially since the weekend before surgery is christmas. i am going to be relieved to have to be laid up after surgery with all the stress that comes with christmas.

Awesome news! Glad you got the approval so quickly...feels like forever when you're waiting for it, but you've just got 2 measly weeks to go now. Congrats!!!!!

I'm not on pureed food yet. I'm having cream soups and applesauce with the protein powder added to them. I was even able to have a few teaspoons of sugar free pudding. My one week follow up appointment is in the morning and maybe they will give me the green light for pureed foods then. I'm hoping to be to mushies by Christmas dinner - mashed potatoes, hummus, pureed ham with a little pineapple!
How much I've lost is kind of complicated.
I started the 2-week pre-op diet at 278.
Morning I went into surgery I was at 261.
Came home from hospital weighing 272.
This morning I was just under 254.
Overall, I'm 24 pounds down from where I began with the pre-op diet. So, I think I'm losing about a pound of pre-surgery weight a day.
I'm very pleased because I've not been nauseated, the pain level has been very minimal, the incisions are healing very nicely. My energy level is excellent. I'd almost go back to work but I've been approved for three weeks off so I might as well take the time and enjoy the holidays, work on developing my new routines, and be nice and healed up before I go back to work.
