I am in that dreaded "stall" and my scale hasn't moved in three long weeks! But I have lost 55 pounds since surgery and I am proud of that. Starting to feel better about myself and I haven't needed insulin since January!!!!!
I've only had one case of dumping (my fault), and overall feel good. I can eat most anything, but regular cheese (not lowfat) can give me some heartburn.
Good luck :)
I had the VSG on December 23, 2010 and had lost 22 lbs in the two weeks prior to my surgery (had lost more than that in all as you can see by my ticker)... Since surgery I've lost another 28 lbs for a total of 50 lbs since the two week pre-op.
*Knocks on wood* I have had no problems so far, was able to get my protein and water and have had no food intolerances so far.
I was 281 pre-op/276 dos/229 current! I hit that stall that everyone talks about and it was a bit discouraging, but the scale is moving again. And really - 52 lbs in 2.5 months is nothing to feel bad about!
Hope you're all well!

Dec.14,2010 was my surgery date with Dr.Ferzli.I have gone to Lutheran Hospital to have my suregry done and everything was great, but when i woke up from anestesia i was told by my Doctor I'm sorry, but your liver is too large and nothing could be done.Maybe we should try next time to have a Gastric Bypass.I could not understand why this happened to me.I kept my diet and lost 8 pounds, unfortunatelly that was all i was able to loose i din't cheat. All obese people have enlarged liver, but what happened to me i dont understand.I went to another doctor at
NYU hospital Dr.Fielding and i had my surgery on 2/18/11 if my liver was so large why did the
surgery take less than 1 hour?I went in to the operating room at 10:15am and at 10:55am my
Doctor came out and told my husband that everything went extremely well. That's all i want to know is why Dr.Ferzli put me through hell?
Thank God for Dr.Fielding he is the greatest
