I had my Sleeve on 12-16, and I know what you mean.
I felt like it really wasnt going to happen and that it was all a dream until after the surgery.
It seemed too good to be true! I kept thinking something would go wrong for sure, but it didnt and I couldnt be happier!

I hope everyone is doing well!

I had my Sleeve on 12-16-2010 and have lost 20.6lbs.
I also work for a weight loss surgical center, and your weight loss up to this point is within the normal range.

Are you eating something small every few hours? This really does make a big difference. How much protein are you getting as well?

Things will pick up, keep your head up!

Topic: Disappointed in weight loss
I had surgery on 12/9 and I am sort of disappointed that I haven't lost more weight.  I started my liquid diet at 336 and was pre-op 315.  So that was good but it's been a month and I'm only at 294.  That's only 21 lbs in a month.  I started going to the gym (today was the first day but I plan to go tomorrow) and did a mile on the treadmill.  (It's not a fancy gym, just a small one in my condo property - so just 2 treadmills, a bike that doesn't work and some weights) but I don't want to fail at this.  I am tracking my food very closely.  I am trying to get all my water in but that has been a bit of a challenge and I returned to work today.

How is everyone else doing?

I returned to work today. I had surgery 12/9 so it was pretty much 1 month. I do have a desk job so I packed everything up for lunch (and dinner since I work a late shift). I was pretty ok. I made it thru the day and I will return tomorrow lol.

I had a revision on 12/27/10. I am returning to work on Jan 17th. I have a desk job. I will be packing a lunch and lots of liquids so that I can continue what I've been doing at home. I'm a little nervous about it but don't want to stay gone too long. My co-workers said that they will support me and remind me to drink my fluids. It's easy to forget.

I had my surgery 12/27/10. So far, I've watched my family eat pizza, one of my favorite foods, and McDonald's. When they did it, I reminded myself that I want to be healthy and as I get better, I'll have solids that I like. No, not those foods but things that the doctor said would benefit me like fat-free refried beans and string cheese which have protein. Hang in there. These feelings will pass. Strength to you from me.

Hiii there,

I can actually see where you are coming from. I had to sit a few feet from a table full of delisious foods for both xmas and new years. I do get cravings every now and then but I also think that even if I had it in front of me up for grabs, I wouldnt eat it because it can go terribly wrong. just hang in there, as you progress you will be able to add more foods to your diet. It is still hard for me, everything seems to get me sick so im at a point that I dont even want to eat. I think its safe to say that we all struggle in some way or an other. Hugs :)
