Getting nervous -
Wishing the best of everything to you both.
My RNY is scheduled for Monday, Dec. 20th. Am I scared....sure. Am I nervous....you betcha. Do I try to think of how much healthier and better my life will be after my operation....absolutely. Right now I seek comfort in a lot of people praying for me. I will for you both as well. It is SO natural for us to be scared and nervous. I can't wait till they give me something to calm my nerves once I reach the hospital. I'm sure all the negative things I have thought about, you both have as well. BUT, I can't dwell on the negative or else I would make myself a real basket case. I am putting my faith in God to pull me through this. I'm almost 65 years old and I want to live a much longer and healthier life. More than likely, you both are much younger than I am.
Let's think about the positive and focus on that. We're not getting better or less nervous when we focus on the negative of what IFs. So, let's make a pack to think good thoughts and pray that God will ease our nerves and calm our fears. My favorite Bible verse has always been, "Cast all your cares upon Him, for He careth for you." IPeter 5:7. I will hold on to that verse as it gives me hope and strength.
Before we know it, all 3 of us will be on the "Loser's Bench"....ya hoooooo! :)
