December 1st

Who are my surgery buddies for December 1st? How are you all doing?
I am getting a little nervous but excited at the same time. I am doing a 1000 cal a day preop diet till tuesday when Iam liquid only. I can't wait to see us all on the looser bench in less then a week.

Surgery buddy over here!

We'll be starting a new and undoubtedly spectacular chapter of our lives on Wednesday and I wish you an uneventful surgery and a super-speedy recovery!

I've been on a Dr recommended liquids-only diet for 3 weeks and I'm MORE than ready to get this show on the road! 

I've been doing the roller coaster of emotions but am really lucky to have a very good friend come with me to the hospital and wait for me to go in.  She's had the lap band surgery so essentially knows what I'm going to be feeling and will be a great comfort.

How long is your hospital stay?  I have been told that I'll be discharged Friday morning at 11 AM.  One week from now we'll be well on our way to recovery and just past a very significant milestone in our lives.

How did everything go during surgery? 

Everythimg went as expected. I was released to go home friday afternoon and home never looked better. It was nice to sleep in myown bed with out all the interuptions. I am still sore on my left side but I am sipping and walking and getting the gas out. Looking forward to everyday as it gets better each and every day.

BTW, is your surgeon Dr Chin from Dr Leport's group out of Fountain Valley?

How's your pain? Are you taking liquid pain medicine?

Yes my doctor is Dr. Chin from Dr Leports group. My pain is pretty good I am on liquid pain meds since I was released from the hospital and so far so good. I have been mainly taking then at night to get a good nights sleep.

December 1st of 2010 here also...    what at trip..  xmas was a test..    i had to make tamales..    but.. i had the smell to enjoy.   

at this point .. how are you guys doing with your food intake....   ?
