You're right - it's the one inserted into your bladder...I'm just freaked out about it, because I've never even been admitted to a hospital before. Major stomach surgery - no problem...urinary catheter - oy! lol

uhm, ok what is a foley catheter. I know what a catheter is, and I am hoping this is just a simple urine type one. LOL

I guess I'm the only 28er in this thread not to fear something crazy happening and stalling surgery. I think we've all been through a heck of a lot to get to this point, and I was nervous from the get-go that I wouldn't be approved or something. But ever since my approval came through from my insurance company, the only thing I'm fearing is that foley catheter - lol

Congratulations! My surgeon's office called me while I was in the grocery store, of all places, to tell me I was approved. I can't believe it's only two days away. Good luck girl!

Good Luck. I'm knew to the blog, but I know that once you have set your mind to do this, then there is no stopping. Good for you, for making this life changing decision that will bring many postitives to you life and health.
I'm in the process of having surgery, possibly next week, but I am wondering if anyone knows if blue cross blue shield of texas cover the sleeve gastrectomy

Wow it's crazy I didn't think I would hear till after the first of the year because of my insurance but Doc's office called and it's going to be December 29!! I start my pre op diet on Tuesday:) I'm so excited yet it all doesn't seem real yet!! I'm sure it will the night before. Good Luck to everyone who is having the surgery this month:) We all deserve it!!!!!
