12/28/09 can't get here fast enough!

After 6 long months of going through the process, I was so relieved to get my insurance approval the day after it was submitted! I had all the pre-op stuff done today, and now I'm just waiting for 12/22 for my final mtg with the surgeon and D-DAY!!!!

Hi I will be having surgery on Dec 22 also.  I hope and pray all goes well?

wooohooo! My new "birthday" with the lap band is 12/28 as well.  See you on the other side :)  I'm so excited

 At pre-op they told us that it is normal for patients to gain 9-10 pounds while in the hospital thanks to all the liquids they pump into you and the gas they inflate your stomach with. I've never had surgery before, so I don't know if that is normal, but it seems ironic that you gain weight in the hx while undergoing WLS. ...
