I have lost almost 33 pounds since surgery and almost 88 pounds since I first saw the bariatric doctor last autumn.  ( AND almost 150 pounds from my highest weight in 2000)   It is definitely a slow process.  I struggle with eating solid foods quite a bit.  I end up vomiting fairly frequently.  But, some foods don't trouble me at all (like cookies).  Fortunately, I don't have access to them very often.  I try to make sure to get enough protein by making a protein drink with 50 grams of protein.  I flavor it with Crystal Light.  I make 32 oz.  I drink part of it of my way to work and the other part on my way home from work.

I am thankful I had the surgery.  It is keeping me from eating emotionally due to my DH's job loss and my pending job loss in June.  I am definitely showing signs of depression.  It is a scary time right now.  I am not tracking my food intake on Fit Day, like I did before surgery.  I should probably start doing so.

I swim moderately around 45 minutes a day 5 days a week.  I am walking more at work.

Whole milk to me would be like drinking chocolate syrup out of the bottle. very thick and so sickly sweet. I haven/t had whole milk in 19 years or so.lol  I couldn't even imagine.

JJ are u dumping on the artificial sweetners?

Yep, I'm a dumper and it is NOT a pleasant experience. I have dumped on SF pudding, Carnation Instant Breakfast, 2% milk, Schwans No Sugar Added Chocolate Fudgesicles. I know there are more things but these are the things sticking out in my mind.
Wanna test it, try some whole milk.. betcha dump.

I can't seem to keep any type of chicken down.. I was able to have a few spoonfuls of chicken salad over 20 minutes, but it didn't sit well with me.. so i am going to lay off trying chicken for a while..

I don't think I dump either. I've drank juices with 20+ grams of sugar per serving, and even eaten a Clif bar without an issue. Are there particular things people tend to dump on?

Awesome! I'm at the same place. Co-morbidities are gone, and my BMI is too low to qualify. What a sweet thing to celebrate!
