Well to update.

The surgeon finally called me back.  I love what she has done for me, but I wasn't happy with the answer she gave me.

She told me to eat something (small snack) 2 hours after having breakfast and that I should be eating more frequently in this stage of my journey. I kinda liked that answer cuz I haven't learned to stop grazing at times. but anywho. the object is to keep my blood sugars level. so i thought to myself, isn't my body suppose to od that on it's own? Makes me want to say hmmmm.

So I will give it a shot until next week when I get blood work and then I go for a follow up visit.

everybody have a wonderful day.

I'm going to blow up the computer here at work

I've been thinking for some time that I'm not getting enough protein and that's part of the reason for my slow loss.  I typically get 50-60g.  Can you share what a typical day of eating looks like for you?  About how many calories do you eat a day?   I think modifying what I'm doing could really help boost my weight loss.  I really want to optimize this time of rapid weight loss, so any additional info you can share would be great.  You could PM me if you rather.

I am so frustrated because last month I lost only 8lbs, thats with adding exercise of 15-20 min on the treadmill a day.  Before Feb 1, I hadn't exercised at all due to NO energy. Plus I've been going to PT for my back and using weight machines there two days a week.   How much exercise are you doing typically.  Seriously, you are doing SO GREAT!  I wanna be like you :-)

Hi Kristy- Thanks for the welcome. I have lost 62 pounds since the day of surgery and 69 pounds from initial consult. And 46 pounds is still nothing to shake a stick at. I try to get in (and it's hard sometimes) at least 100 grams of protein either from liquid protein or from food. Plus I lift weights and exercise. My doc wants his patients to have at least 70-100 grams of protein and when I don't get it all in my weight stalls so I am starting to think there is a correlation between the two.
My goal 135; current 132;  pre-op highest 285; I have lost more than I weigh...  I my RNY!

Hi Erica - Welcome to the December board!  So, jealous minds want to know, have you lost 69 pounds since surgery? I am so envious.  I know we arent supposed to compare, but to my measily 46 pounds since 12/10, ugh!  :-(

I will be three months out on the 15th and I am down 60 lbs total. I had a terrible time finding a protein and just drank my way thru pureed. I think that if I was eating more I would be losing more but I have no hunger or desire to eat whatsoever. I don't dump and really wish I did. I went from a tight 22 womens to 16 regulars from old navy so I am so happy. I hope you all are doing well also
