My surgery date is the 22nd. As of today I have lost 51 lbs since surgery. I need to shop but don't want to spend the money since I am still losing. The thrift stores here stink. Oh well. My problems could definitely be worse. I could had been denied the surgery!

There's a gal on here that posts on the main forum.  She's done blogging and recipes for her entire journey and most of them are really great.  I believe her web address is www.theworldaccordingtoeggface.blogspot.com  Good luck in your recipe search!

Hello everyone!

I can't believe its been 3 months already. I remember waking up from surgery like it was only yesterday. As of today I am down 58 pounds and I couldn't be happier. Even though I have a ways to go I am happy!

So how are all my fellow December post-ops doing? How much have you lost since surgery?

Good morning!  I'm a week behind on for the 3 month anniversary but WOW!  58 pounds!  Rock it!  I'm down 45.5 as of this morning.  My "surgiversary", as they like to call it here, is next Sunday, the 22nd.  I'm hoping to hit 50 by then but it's not looking like it'll happen!  Oh well.  C'est la vie!

Congratulations on your loss!!  Keep up the phenomenal work!

Good morning!  The thanks for the support goes both ways!  It's nice to know that I've friends out there who understand what's going on.... even if I've never met them!!!

My doc actually figures out the percent loss at every visit.  They don't want us thinking about the loss in terms of pounds because that's different for everyone depending on where they start out.  So.. .they look at the percentage of excess lost.  It's more meaningful to me, too.  I just LOVE my doctor at the CBS here!  (And my surgeon as well!  LOL)

I totally need to do the measurements!  I still too lazy!!  LOL  I am, though, starting to really notice a difference in my clothes . I was in a 22, pushing a 24 quite well, when I went into surgery.  I'm going to a professional conference in New Orleans this week and wanted clothes that fit!  I was so excited to fit into an 18!!  So, I'm not buying anything else (hadn't planned to buy ANYTHING until I was done losing) but figured this was a good reason!  I was very excited that the 18 fit!  It's been 10 years since I wore that size!  YAY  (Though, I must admit to still being just every so slightly jealous of  your 13's!)

Anyhow.. thanks for support.  It feels so good to be feelin' good!  I'll be looking forward to hearing how your bloodwork goes this week!!!

I am just over 3 months out and at my last weigh about 3 weeks ago I had lost 77 lbs!  I decided to only weigh every 3 weeks since I have a tendency to be obsessed with the scale! LOL! I am weighing tomorrow so fingers crossed that I have lost a chunk. I am never really hungry (except the old head hunger), I do not dump (at least haven't yet) and have had no complications. I weigh/measure everything that goes in my mouth and I journal my food. I drink between 80-100 oz of water daily, take my vits and exercise (walk about a mile a day and CURVES 3 x weekly). Dieting will never be easy, but I am determined to succeed this time. Best wishes to all of you Dec. surgery folks-lets keep up the good work! Have a blessed week.

Julie, that is wonderful about the percentage of weight loss already. 31% is nuts. (I should figure out mine)  You're doing so great and your support on the Dec board is so appreciated.

I am not sure if I have posted here before or not. I have lost 31 lbs since December 16th. Unfortunately I had a leak and I have been on a feeding tube and getting 1800 calories a day plus the food I am now allowed to eat. Maybe when the feeding tube comes out I can start loosing....I am so ready to get it out and to be healthy again...getting there finally but still healing. Joy
