I know what you mean!  I haven't been this size in 15 years!
Can you tell me how to figure the percentage of weight lost?  You said you were at 31%.  I've lost 55 lbs I went from 241 to 186.  I'm no math wiz!
Thanks

Thanks!  I have to admit, it's a pretty great feeling to know that I'm on my way to being healthy for the first time in my adult life!!  What a ride!

I think you are doing really well.  I get down on myself too.  I know I am a SLOW loser.  I  don't even want to go to the Dr. because I don't want him to think I'm not losing fast enough.  Thats just CRAZY!  I know!  Don't be so hard on yourself.  I have a friend that lost over 100 lbs.  She did it over 14 months.  She doesn't have lots of loose skin either.
Do what you can to get your protien and water in.  I can relate to that issue too!  Keep exercising.  You will work up to more time that weight will come off!  Some of us just lose slower then others.

You are doing great!!!  I am down 55 lbs.  That includes my pre-op loss.  But its a loss from where I was!  I'll take it!

Hi All,

This is my first time on this board.  Wish I had found it earlier.  BUT, I also wish I had my surgery earlier too.

I have lost 51 lbs. since my surgery and it seems that is a little low in comparison.   I think I need help with getting in more protein and water.  I am never really hungry and when I am, I fill up really fast.  I drink one protein shake in the morning.  Maybe I should go to 2 a day.  Everyone seems to think there is something between protein and weight loss.  I joined a GYM a month ago and do the bike or treadmill for 20 minutes and do weights 3X a week.  I have lost inches tho.  I have gone from a tight tight 24 to an 18/20.  I am also going to put the scale in the closet.  I get on it every day and watch the scale barely move.

I do feel good tho and that is the best feeling .............

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

THX

Topic: RE: Anyone else having a tough time with chicken?
I can tolerate only small amounts of chicken. I cannot eat canned chicken or chicken breast. I have not eaten roast chicken. The only chicken I have done well with is chicken nuggets with the breading peeled off. I love chicken and miss it a lot. I do well with ground meat though. I can eat a hamburger (very small one)or lean Italian sausage. I can do lean hotdogs. I live off of beans.
