Thanks for letting me know what you're doing. I think it would be good for me to start adding more protein shakes. I only have one a day, I know adding that will give me a nice boost.  Also, I've only been walking 15-20 minutes a day. I know I need to increase that, but it's tough. :-)

I do 3 protein shakes a day.  One first thing in the morning then around 12:30pm I will have a light lunch/snack such as deli turkey with cheese or I have 1/2 a salmon burger from Costco with a little cottage cheese or maybe some shrimp with cottage cheese. Basically any kind of meat will be protein.  Then around 3:30 ish I will have another protein shake. Then I eat a small dinner around 6:00 pm.  It's usually meat with cottage cheese or maybe meat with a little veggie.  Example would be last night I had 1/2 of a shish kabob at a family BBQ.  I ate the 2 pieces of steak and the two pieces of zucchini.  Then at around 8-8:30 I have my last protein shake.  Depending on which type of protein shake I use. Each shake is between 24-30 grams of protein.
I do exercise but I am not a hard core exerciser.  I walk on my treadmill 3-4 times a week and if I am motivated I walk 5 days a week.  My usual walks are about 40 minutes long and 2.5 miles.  Now I know I shouldn't be advocating this but I have gone some weeks without any exercise and my weight loss that week was pretty much the same as the weeks I do exercise.  I don't know why this is because in theory this shouldn't be the way it works but it is.

I hope this helped you a little. Please let me know if you have any questions.  I am not at expert at this point as I am only 3 months out but I will help you in any way that I can.

Take care,
Kristy A.

Wow, that's an impressive weekly weight loss!!  What is an example of what you might eat in a day to get yourself up to 100 g protein?  I really need help it seems.  The last two days I know I've been way over 64oz water, so that's good. Now if I could just up the protein.  And are you exercising?

Kristy,

I know exactly how you feel because at first I thought I was a slow loser and even said the same thing you did "I could have lost this much on weigh****chers" then one of the posters on the RNY board  said up you water and protein and I did.  I now drink 90 oz. of water and take in about 100 to 110 grams of protein( I use protein shakes) and the weight started falling off.
I now lose anywhere from 4-7 lbs a week.  I have only lost 7 lbs in a week once.  But on average lose 4-5 lbs each week.  The only things I have changed were those two things, water and protein.  Try it.

I feel slower too...
I want to achieve 4-5 pounds a week but its been harder then I thought-
I lost 18lbs prior to surgery- 240
Surgery was Dec 11th - I was 222
I had a 19 day stall in Feb
finally stared to loss again , 4 pounds one week, 2 then next week, 1 the next.
Now I stalled again since Feb 9  at 181lbs
The family was sick this week with the flu, it was hard to get anything down including cottage cheese, broth and protien shake- keep feeling nausiated after- but I haven't thrown up.
I did try my best to drink water- I really felt my energy level go from great to zero this week.
I was taking the kids to school ( when then weren't sick) then coming home and sleeping from 9:00am to 2:00, then laying on the couch till it was time to fix dinner.
SOOOO here's what I did learn from this week and how important the water, protien and exercise must really be-   I GAINED A 1 1/2 !!!!!
I weighed myself this afternoon and it read 182.5!!!
I changed the batteries on the scale because I thought it was wrong- still the same.
I'm really hoping that it was the salt in the broth thats holding on to the water and once I start moving it will come off again-
So weight loss is at 59lbs total... BS-18 / after surgery 41
13 weeks since surgery I'm at an adverage of 3.15 pound a week...
It's still better then it would have been if I didn't have surgery!!!

Go confidently in the directions of your dreams!
