I guess we all have to have some mini goals to reach, and ultimately the "big" one.  GOOD LUCK to all.
This is exactly how I determined my goal weight! Honestly, I have never weighed less than I do right now in my adult life, so I am unsure what to expect. But, I figure 10lbs above being in the "normal BMI" range would be great for my frame. A lot of folks who started out at my starting weight now weigh 128-140lbs, and I can't imagine that for myself. I'm open to seeing where my body lands itself too... so if I go under goal, I'm not going to freak out about that.

We seem to be doing about the same and I understand your frustration.  I had surgery a week before you and I am down 55 pounds.  It's like beating your head against a brick wall.

Hey Sandra. Well I took the Nexium for 3 months and as soon as Doctor miles took me off of it I ended up with a really bad ulcer. I now take it for life. But I dont know why you would still be on it. Maybe give "good ole" Helen ( use of term was very loose! ) a call and ask her.

Good Luck

Well, I have to say when I first started this process i went with the "goal" that the AMA establishes for someone my height/stature.  That figure was 140ish pounds.  Since my surgery and having met a lot of people who are my height and about my frame size, I've decided that I would look anorexically thin at 140.  So.. I've opted, instead, for a goal "size".  I would like to get down to a ladies size 10/12.  I think that is a nice healthy size and that allows me to focus on feeling good rather than a number on the scale.

Now.. don't get me wrong.  I still weigh myself WAY too much.  I feel like I'm not losing nearly as much as others... etc.  (I mean, I'm four months out and still have not hit 60 pounds.  I seem to lose about 5 pounds and then just sit for several weeks until another 5 disappears.  It's quite frustrating.

Ok.. that was an aside for sure!  lol  So... I figure at a size 10/12 I will probably be around 160 pounds... slightly higher than that AMA recommendation but a healthy weight, I think, for me!

I came up with my goal weight from when I was 230 pounds four years ago. I felt comfortable in that weight. I just didn't know how to stay that weight. I picked 220 this time cuz it seamed reasonable amount of weight to loose and if I want that givesme 10 pounds of muscle to pack on. The charts imho are for eggheads that have nothing else to do except create thin people. I should be 150-180 Pounds. don't think I ever was that weight inmy life. That would be an imposssible goal to get to and I think I would look way to thin.

1. How is the weight loss coming? 80 lbs but have been stalled for over a month.  I am BEAT I want this over with

2. How is the eating? I can eat everything (even sugar but only in very small amounts) I hate it that I don't get sick.  I want to get sick so I don't even get tempted.

3. How are you feeling? I feel good for the most part.  However I am really beat lately the kids are just taking me for a ride and a hald.  I haven't done exercising at all because of the lack of time.  I could do it at like 2am though I guess

4. What size have you gone from? 30/32 to an 18/20.

5. Any regrets? No

Sorry I am just in a bad mood today.  Its my birthday and birthdays always SUCK for me.

I was wondering how many of you have a goal weight in mind and how did you come up with that number.  I know there are scales and tables to follow but I am wondering if you use them or decided on your own what your goal would be. Thanks!
