onederland is when your weight is less than in the 200's and now in the 100's.

DUH, you were probably being sarcastic and I just got it.  Lost weight and my mind.

I am 5'3" and I see that the normal weight range for my height is 108 lbs to 132 lbs.  It is different if you go strickly by BMI then it is 104 lbs to 140 lbs.  I have in my mind any where between 135 lbs (ideal) to 145 lbs (acceptable).  But, I am not as young as most of you so I will see where I get to and deal with that.  I am doing everything in my power to do well with this so I can only hope and try for the best.  I have already met my goal to be off of my meds and to feel better.  I am still in the 200lbs and can't wait to get to onderland.

I had my surgery on 12/22 too.  I am in a stall right now.  It drives me crazy.  Although I have done okay I had dreams of grandeur before my surgery.  I was thinking I could lose about 35 lbs a month.  I have not been that lucky.  I have lost 70 lbs since surgery and then an extra 20lbs I lost the few weeks prior.  I work out 5 times a week most weeks.  last week I did 6 workouts and this week 4.  I am also planning on riding my bike if I can ever get the tires filled.

1. How is the weight loss coming? 43 lbs since surgery date. Keeping in mind that I am not as far as others who had surgery in December....but the feeding tube came out only 3 weeks ago; so I am pleased and loosing now. (I had a leak and was on a feeding tube for 3 months getting 1800 + calories a day.)

2. How is the eating?  Eating 1/4 cup servings....and feeliing full.

3. How are you feeling? Better than I have in years.

4. What size have you gone from? 20 to 14.  How crazy!!!!!!

5. Any regrets? Still some because I have been through so much. I have a wound that has not healed so I am going to have to have yet another surgery, (Sleeve Dec 16th and 4 more to fix the leak so I am not looking forward to another.)

Hi:
I am your surgery twin. I had my surgery the same day. I just want to stress to you as hard as it may be to do get in all the protein requirements plus.  When my weight loss slowed down and HAIR started falling out my Dr said my protein is low...I increased it for my hair and the weight loss increased instead!!!  Still losing the hair...uhhkkk.  How I forced myself to get the drinks down was to not sit down until I got it down and I held it in my hand until I finished it.  Weird but it worked.

I never did have heartburn.  I would hate that too.  I did go off of the medication but it hurt to eat or drink so I am back on for a bit.  No burning, just pain as the food passed into my stomach/pouch.  ugh

well, I did stop it for about 2 wks and I couldn't eat anything.  I had to go back on a soft diet.  It seems that ithe meds are keeping swelling down and if I stop taking it everything I eat that or drink hurts as it enters my pouch.  I don't know when I will be able to get off of it but I am almost afraid to stop taking it since I had such a negative experience the last time.  Maybe by the time I am 6 months out I will try again.

My goal weight is 180. I'm 6ft tall.  My sister is about 5'10 and weighs 180 and is in a size 12. I'd be good with that.  For my height, the range is 140-184. 180 would give me a BMI of 24 which is on the high end of healthy.

I've been thinking lately what it's going to be like to try and stop the weight loss. I'm still way far away from that point, but I really am not hungry most of the time and eat because I need to not because I want to.  I would have never thought pre surgery I would or COULD say that, but it's true. I hope that doesn't change anytime soon.

I was on Priolsec before surgery and haven't gone off.  I was under the impression that with gastric bypass, heartburn goes away for people who had it pre-op.  I'm sort of nervous to try going off, heartburn stinks!
